A specific problem with the scope, outcome and timeline agreed up front, then a documented handover.

Recent work

  • Migrated a regulated UK care management SaaS platform (50M+ requests/week) to Azure, running the cutover with no data loss.
  • Designed a highly available Azure architecture: stateless zone-redundant app tier, Redis-backed sessions and zone-redundant managed MySQL.
  • Delivered the platform as code with Bicep and Ansible, automating the full server build and running it in parallel with production.
  • Consolidated 12 self-managed MySQL servers (850+ tenant schemas) into 5 Azure managed MySQL databases using Azure DMS.
  • Cut deployment time from ~30 to ~5 minutes per environment with an end-to-end CI/CD pipeline.
  • Previously built a highly available AWS platform with Terraform and GitHub Actions CI/CD, cutting spend by ~15%.
